Malcolm is Managing Partner of Top 100 law firm Michelmores LLP.
In his role Malcolm is responsible for the implementation of Michelmores’ five year strategy, to be nationally and internationally renowned for the quality of its people, service and clients, known as Ambition 2020. To achieve its ambitions, the Firm is committed to investing in its people, consistently meeting excellent standards of service delivery and client service, leveraging technology and innovating to uncover new opportunities.
Malcolm is also the driver of many of the Firm’s international projects. He is the Managing Director of Yangtze Law – the UK’s first wholly Chinese-owned law firm, which was launched with the support of Michelmores in May 2015.
During the first seven years of Malcolm’s leadership, the Firm has grown its turnover by 65%.
Prior to joining Michelmores in 1989, Malcolm trained as a Solicitor in the City, and then became a legal adviser at the American multi-national, Gillette, providing legal advice on a wide range of matters throughout Europe, Africa and the Middle East.
Malcolm has advised on all forms of corporate finance work relating to mergers and acquisitions, and a broad range of corporate and commercial work. He was appointed Managing Partner in 2009, and before that was head of the Business Group.
